Bittersweet Ending
How does Kill Ghosts / 斩邪 end?
Bittersweet Ending. Chen Jingyi awakens in a peaceful parallel world with no supernatural crisis. His previously dead comrades are alive and living ordinary lives. He sees Ye Qiunan as an actress on a wedding set; they exchange a faintly familiar look, she signs her name, and leaves smiling. He alone clearly remembers the old world. The reset restores everyone, but their former bonds are not explicitly restored, making the ending hopeful but bittersweet.
