Bittersweet Ending
How does Never Left Behind / 永不掉队 end?
Bittersweet Ending. MangoTV's official synopsis confirms that Zhong Hua's group ultimately breaks through repeated encirclement, successfully delivers the key military intelligence, and helps the main Red Army force escape. The same synopsis describes the outcome in terms of 'blood and sacrifice,' so the mission succeeds but at meaningful human cost. The official finale promotion also shows Xiaodouzi carrying the wounded Zhong Hua up Yingchou Peak while Su Banxia seeks reinforcements.
