Anthology / Mixed Endings
How does Chinese Mythology / 中国神话 end?
Anthology / Mixed Endings. The CMG/Yangshipin series consists of six separate myth-based shorts, so it does not have one uniform character ending. The final installment, 治水, ends positively: Yu controls the floods to protect the people, and the story connects his legacy to modern river-monitoring and water-control work. Other installments include inherently sacrificial or separation-based myths such as Kuafu Chasing the Sun, so the overall series is best classified as an anthology with mixed endings rather than a single Happy Ending.
