💗 What I Look for in a Romance
Romance is at the center of how I review.
I pay attention to chemistry, affection, kissing, relationship development, confessions, official relationship status, breakups, separations, engagements, marriage, children, reunions, and the final status of the main couple.
I also distinguish between an actual breakup and a couple being forced apart by circumstances, because those are not the same viewing experience.
A drama can technically have a happy ending and still make the journey absolutely exhausting. I want viewers to know both.
🎬 Spoilers Are a Feature Here
My reviews are intentionally spoiler-friendly.
I would rather know the emotional destination before I start a drama, and I know plenty of other viewers feel the same way.
When the information is available, I clearly identify whether an ending is:
- Happy
- Sad
- Open
- Bittersweet
- Ambiguous
I also explain what actually happens to the main couple instead of stopping at a vague line like “they reunite.”
Being alive, being together, being engaged, and being married are very different answers.

The Finder tracks verified happy endings along with details such as:
- Final relationship status
- Breakups

- Other relationship details that can completely change whether an ending feels satisfying
Some entries come from dramas I personally watched and reviewed. Others are researched and verified specifically for the Ending Finder.
The goal is simple: help viewers check the romantic destination before investing their time.

I also pay close attention to content and victimization warnings.
Reviews may flag material such as:
- Abuse
- Coercion
- Sexual violence
- Bullying
- Forced relationships
- Cruelty
- Violence against women
- Animal harm
- Other potentially upsetting content
These warnings are not meant to replace official content ratings, and I cannot guarantee that every potentially upsetting scene has been documented.
They are there to give viewers more information before deciding what they feel comfortable watching.
🌎 Watching as an International Viewer
Because I watch as an international viewer, I also care about the practical side of streaming.
When possible, I verify:
- U.S. streaming availability
- Official platforms
- English subtitles
- Mandarin audio
- Audio and video quality
- Major subtitle or dubbing problems
A drama being available somewhere online is not the same thing as having a good official viewing experience.
⭐ My Reviews Are Personal
My ratings and reactions are personal, and I do not pretend otherwise.
I can love an actor and still complain about the script.
I can enjoy a romance while admitting the plot wandered off without supervision.
A gorgeous production will not automatically save a drama if the relationship gives me nothing to work with.
And if two characters spend twenty episodes suffering because nobody will have one normal conversation, I will probably mention that too. 😂
The goal is not to tell everyone what they should like. It is to give viewers enough information to decide whether a drama sounds right for them.
