💕 Our Sticky Love / 이런 엿 같은 사랑

⭐ 3.5/5 · Finished · Happy Ending · Married and Together

Our Sticky Love had a setup specifically designed to lure me in: protective man + fake relationship + cohabitation + amnesia + first-love connection. Naturally, I was seated. 😂

Go Eun-sae wakes up with no memory and Jang Tae-ha appears claiming he is her boyfriend. Except… he absolutely is not. She is actually a prosecutor who was investigating a criminal organization, while Tae-ha is a former boxer with gang ties who hides her after refusing to carry out the order that would have gotten her killed.

And Tae-ha committing to this fake-boyfriend performance while Eun-sae keeps looking at this suspicious tracksuit man like, “There is NO way I chose this man” was genuinely funny. 😂

The romance works because Tae-ha becomes increasingly terrible at pretending he does not care about her. He is protective, attentive and very obviously doomed. Unfortunately, his solution to protecting an amnesiac woman is basically:

“I shall protect her by lying about EVERYTHING.”

Excellent plan, genius. 🤦‍♀️

Eun-sae is also not useless just because she loses her memories. Her instincts are still there. She questions Tae-ha, notices inconsistencies and eventually reclaims her identity as a prosecutor. Once her memories return, she actively goes after Sang-gil herself instead of spending the finale waiting for Tae-ha to rescue her.

THERE she is. 👏

💕 Romance & Chemistry

The romance starts early even though their original “relationship” is fake.

The first kisses happen while Eun-sae is testing Tae-ha’s boyfriend story and while Tae-ha is maintaining the deception, so those are not the same thing as an established real relationship. By Episode 4, Eun-sae admits she is falling for him. Their feelings continue becoming genuine through the middle episodes, with a clearly romantic kiss and increasingly real couple behavior.

By Episode 7 their feelings are explicit. Tae-ha tells her that if she still feels the same way once her memories return, she can decide whether she wants a future with him.

That distinction matters because I needed her to get the choice once the truth came out.

The chemistry is good and there is kissing, hugging, hand-holding, caretaking and cohabitation, but this is more cute/protective/emotional than spicy. 🌶️

💔 Yes, There Is a Breakup

Unfortunately, Episode 9 is an actual breakup.

After Eun-sae’s memories return, she deliberately tells Tae-ha they are over and pushes him away while secretly trying to protect him and finish the case herself.

That counts as a breakup even though her feelings never disappear.

Thankfully, it is relatively brief and this does NOT become one of those dramas where I spend six episodes watching two idiots refuse to speak to each other. 😂 Their trust and relationship rebuild across Episodes 10–11.

😂 Where It Lost Points

This is probably where the 3.5 instead of 4+ lives for me.

Sometimes this drama feels like two different shows got glued together with Korean taffy.

One minute:

cute village romance 💕

Next minute:

A GANGSTER IS TORTURING SOMEBODY.

Then:

hehehe nosy village aunties 😂

Then:

EXPLOSION.

The crime plot keeps things moving, but it also steals time I would rather have spent on the romance. And Tae-ha’s giant central lie lasts long enough that Eun-sae has every right to be furious when the truth catches up with them.

🎉 Ending — HAPPY ENDING

The main couple absolutely ends together.

Episode 12 gives us an actual proposal AND wedding. Tae-ha and Eun-sae choose each other with everything finally out in the open and marry in the village.

Final status: Married · Alive · Together. ❤️

The crime storyline ends much darker. Sang-gil discovers that Tae-ha is actually his biological son. Tae-ha never learns this. During their final confrontation, Sang-gil takes the gun and kills himself rather than leave Tae-ha responsible for killing him.

So there is tragedy surrounding the antagonist, but the main romance ending is clearly happy.

Moderate. Hugging, hand-holding, caretaking and domestic/cohabitation affection.
🌶️ Spiciness / Adult Intimacy
Low. Romantic but not especially explicit.
🚩 ML Red Flag
Moderate. Protective and devoted, but pretending to be an amnesiac woman’s boyfriend is still one ENORMOUS lie, sir. 😂
👑 Female Lead Competence
Strong. Her prosecutor instincts survive the amnesia and she becomes active in taking Sang-gil down.
⏱️ Romance Timing
Early. Feelings are developing well before the finale.
❤️‍🔥 Relationship Payoff
Strong. Reconciliation, mutual choice, proposal and actual wedding.
💔 Breakup
Yes — Episode 9. Protective and relatively brief.
⏳ Separation / Conflict
Moderate. Lies, memory recovery, danger, forced escape, presumed-death scare and emotional distance.
💍 Final Relationship Status
Married · Alive · Together.
📖 Plot
Amnesia rom-com mixed with organized-crime thriller. Entertaining but occasionally tonally chaotic.
🐾 Animal Harm
YES. Episode 6 — Sang-gil kills his pet arowana fish. No verified dog/cat harm.
About these assessments

My impressions cover what I watched. Later research is labeled on dropped reviews. Kissing, affection and adult intimacy are separate; coercion does not count as romantic spice. Being apart does not automatically mean a breakup.

⭐ Final Verdict — 3.5/5

Our Sticky Love is cute, romantic, weirdly violent, occasionally ridiculous, but ultimately satisfying.

It gives me a protective/devoted ML, a competent FL who gets her power back, early romance, decent kissing and skinship, only one relatively short breakup and — most importantly — an actual wedding instead of making me interpret a meaningful sunset. 😂❤️

The crime plot, tonal whiplash and giant central deception keep it from being one of my 4–4.5 star romance babies, but 3.5/5 feels right: enjoyable, satisfying payoff, worth finishing, but not obsession-level.

And bless this drama for understanding one simple concept:

IF YOU SPEND TWELVE EPISODES MAKING ME WATCH THESE PEOPLE SUFFER, I WOULD LIKE A WEDDING AS COMPENSATION. 👏😭❤️
