A PERSONAL VIEWING JOURNAL
🌸 My Review
Opening Reaction
Well… at least it’s not a shifu/disciple thing. 😂
Technically Shan Chong is Wei Zhi’s snowboarding coach and she even calls him shifu, but this is a modern sports romance, not another immortal-master-and-disciple relationship where everybody has to suffer for 40 episodes because heaven said so. I will take the win. 😭
3/5.
Plot
Wei Zhi is a comic artist whose career crashes after she gets caught in a scandal and loses control of her pen name and work. Looking for a fresh start and inspiration for a new comic, she heads to a ski resort and starts learning snowboarding.
That is where she meets Shan Chong, a former professional snowboarder who now works as a coach.
He has his own baggage with the sport. His younger sister Shan Shan lost both of her legs after a snowboarding training accident, and Shan Chong later suffered an injury himself. Between the accident, his guilt, and pressure from his family, he stepped away from professional competition.
Wei Zhi rebuilding her career ends up motivating Shan Chong to reconsider the dream he abandoned, while he helps her gain confidence in both snowboarding and herself.
Wei Zhi + Shan Chong
The romance actually becomes official before the finale, thank you very much. 😂
Their relationship moves forward in Episode 13 after an avalanche situation leaves them stranded together. Shan Chong opens up about his past, confesses his feelings, and Wei Zhi accepts him.
They kiss and officially become a couple.
So we do get an actual relationship instead of 22 episodes of staring followed by one confession during the credits. 👀
Unfortunately, somebody apparently decided things were going too smoothly.
The Breakup 🙄
There is a real breakup in Episode 17.
Wei Zhi’s parents question whether Shan Chong can give her a secure future. Shan Chong internalizes all of that and decides that because he does not think he is good enough for her yet, the logical solution is apparently to dump the woman who already chose him.
Sir. 🤦♀️
He breaks up with Wei Zhi and then barely communicates with her while both of them are miserable.
This is not just an argument, emotional withdrawal, or temporary work separation. Their established romantic relationship actually ends.
The breakup lasts from Episode 17 until their reconciliation in Episode 22.
Reconciliation + Ending
When they finally meet again, Shan Chong admits that he stayed away because he did not want Wei Zhi forced to choose between him and her parents.
Wei Zhi basically makes it clear that none of those supposed blessings matter if she cannot actually be with the person she loves.
They reconcile in Episode 22, kiss, and get back together.
Shan Chong later explains his future plans to Wei Zhi’s father and finally gets her parents’ support.
In Episode 23, Shan Chong wins his competition and then tries approximately 75 different ways to propose before finally figuring out that maybe sincerity is enough. 😂
He proposes to Wei Zhi on the snowy mountain.
She says yes.
The live-action story ends with them engaged, and Wei Zhi’s comic shows their future married life together with their daughter.
So yes:
Happy Ending. ❤️
Wei Zhi and Shan Chong end alive, together, married in the future depiction, and raising a daughter.
No tragic tricks. No ambiguous reincarnation nonsense. No “maybe they meet again in 300 years.” We are safe. 😂

About these assessments
My impressions cover what I watched. Later research is labeled on dropped reviews. Kissing, affection and adult intimacy are separate; coercion does not count as romantic spice. Being apart does not automatically mean a breakup.
